CMS Overview

About the CMS

Harvard Law School uses the Rhythmyx content management system (CMS) to publish content on the main HLS website, www.law.harvard.edu.  The Rhythmyx CMS is managed by the Office of Communications, with support from Information Technology Services, and can be used by web authors from HLS departments, programs, clinics, and other initiatives.

Accessing the CMS

Registered users can access Rhythmyx at http://webedit.law.harvard.edu (on Internet Explorer and Safari only).  Depending on roles and responsibilities, each user has editing privileges within a certain CMS "community" or communities. New users should complete this form to set up a CMS account.

CMS Training and Support

The Office of Communications schedules introductory classes for new CMS users.  We also offer one-on-one training on advanced editing techniques and guidance on site structure, content strategy, and information architecture;  please schedule a web consultation.

If you have a quick question or need technical support, please e-mail online@law.harvard.edu

CMS Support Documents

Please visit our CMS Support Documents page for Rhythmyx reference guides and a guide to editing content types, and check back soon for new training and support materials.

Full Publishes include new navigation ("navons"), changes to navons and new pages. A full publish is done daily at 12:00 a.m. and takes approximately three hours to complete.
