Staff Bios

C.J. Azubuine, Senior Manager

CJ joined the Office of Event Scheduling and Support in February of 2010.  Prior to HLS, he worked at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) for 12 years, first in the Department of Athletics and then for the Campus Activities Complex where he was an Assistant Manager for Event Operations.  CJ is a former member of the Board of Directors for Adoption and Foster Care Mentoring (AFC), a Boston based non-profit.  He chaired the Special Events committee responsible for organizing AFC’s first and second annual events raising over $125,000 for the organization.  CJ is a member of the Class of 2012 for Harvard’s Administrative Fellowship Program and YWCA’s LeadBoston program.  CJ holds a BA in Music with a concentration in Music Business and Management.  He is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Leadership, with a concentration in project management, at Northeastern University.  CJ is a big fan of the Patriots, Bruins and Wolverines football team.

Laura Ferrigno, Assistant Manager

Laura has worked in the Office of Event Scheduling and Support at HLS since February of 2006. Before coming to Harvard she worked as a Catering Manager at San Diego’s Lodge at Torrey Pines and then the Charles Hotel in Harvard Square. Laura graduated from Stonehill College with a degree in Business Management and has used this knowledge to help manage Wakeda Campground in Hampton Falls, NH, which is owned and operated by three generations of her family. Laura has a passion for new experiences and has travelled around the world. Laura learned how to fly and has soloed in three different kinds of single engine airplanes.

Shawna Plumer, Assistant Client Relations Manager

Shawna originally hails from Portland, OR and is going on her 8th year in Boston. Before joining the team at Harvard, Shawna was the General Manager of a boutique on Newbury Street with a focus on local marketing /events and operations. She assisted with the opening and staff training of 3 stores on the East Coast. Shawna holds a BFA in painting from Massachusetts College of Art and Design. In her spare time, she enjoys cooking, social media, the local food scene, and following the Bruins.     

Cindy Arjoon, Operations Supervisor

Cindy joined the Office of Event Scheduling and Support in September of 2013 after moving to Boston from Florida. Prior to HLS she completed an internship with the United Nations and attended the University of South Florida to receive her Master’s Degree in Political Science. When she is not working, Cindy likes to spend time with her family and friends, shop, read, and watch movies.

Jacquelyn Kenehan, Operations Supervisor

Jacquelyn Kenahan joined the Office of Event Scheduling Support in September 2013.  She has a degree in Architectural Engineering Technology from Wentworth Institute of Technology. Prior to HLS her most recent position was as a drafter at Engineers Design group in Malden MA. After dedicating six years in the engineering field she decided to commit to switching careers to event planning.  She became actively involved and joined volunteer planning committees and pursued an internship with Alzheimer’s Association.  From those commitments and dedication she gained the experience to lead her where she is today. In her free time she likes to travel, snowboard, hike, volunteer and watch sports.   

Leedie Wales, Event Coordinator

Leedie came to Harvard Law School in 2004, doing administrative work for the PON Program of Instruction for Lawyers.  She became an Event Coordinator in 2005.  Prior to joining HLS, she was Coordinator of the Department of Literacy and Language at Boston University.  Leedie earned a BA in Psychology from Smith College.  In her free time, she serves as a trustee of her condo association, loves travel, photography, and piano.

Leonor Dias, Staff Assistant

Leo is originally from Portugal, she moved to Boston in 2008. She has been working for Harvard for the past 3 years and joined the Office of Event Scheduling and Support in September 2013. Prior to HLS she worked at Annenberg Dining Hall as General Service for HUDS. She also interned at the Harvard Bridge Program, which is an education and training program open to all Harvard staff and faculty, where she now works as a Staff Assistant. Leo currently attends University of Massachusetts Boston working towards a minor in Psychology and plans to transfer to Boston University to pursue a BS in Nutritional Science in the near future. In her little free time, Leo enjoys going to the gym, spending time with friends and family, and travelling.
