 Standard Software Suite

All computers purchased through ITS have the Law School's standard software suite pre-installed.  Faculty members are advised to consult with ITS on software purchases that are outside of the standard software suite.  This will allow ITS to act in a consultive capacity, making sure the correct versions of the software are acquired, and alerting the faculty to potential issues with that software;  additionally, by keeping track of trends in faculty software requests, ITS  can determine when frequently requested software should be added to our standard software suite.

Standard Software Suite includes:

• Windows 7
• Office 2007 Professional (Access, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher)
• Outlook
• Adobe Acrobat Reader
• HLS/FAS VPN Client Software
• Internet Explorer
• QuickTime Player
• RealPlayer

 Additional Faculty Software

Also for HLS faculty, ITS provides (on request) and supports the following software on one Harvard-owned computer per faculty member:

• Corel WordPerfect
• Adobe Acrobat (full version)
• EndNote

Additional licenses for these programs will be charged to the discretionary portion of the faculty member’s allowance as would other software like STATA or SPSS.
