S: (Faculty Share) mapping – Please use the following steps to map your S: drive:
Note: if you have the old S: drive location mapped to the S: drive, you will need to disconnect it. Click here for instructions on disconnecting network drives. Also, if you have a fixed drive such as a DVD or a 2nd hard drive mapped to S:, simply choose another drive letter.
Note: <FacultyUsername> is the username of the faculty member who owns the share. Example: \\HLSFac.law.harvard.edu\Faculty\jharvard_shared
Note: you will not have access to this drive until you connect via Harvard's VPN.

Note: Once mapped, you can also access the share if you double-click on the My Computer icon.
S: (Faculty Shared Drive) mounting – Please use the following steps to map to your H: drive:
cifs://HLSFac.law.harvard.edu/<FacultyUsername>_Shared
Note: the <FacultyUsername> is the username of the faculty member who owns the share. Example: cifs://HLSFac.law.harvard.edu/jharvard_shared

Note: If you have the old home server address, cifs://140.247.200.162/<FacultyUsername>_Shared or cifs://hlsnas1a.law.harvard.edu/<FacultyUsername>_Shared, listed in your favorites, select it, and click Remove.

Note: A mounted network drive will appear on the desktop
