The HLS laptop print client enables an HLS Mac laptop user to access public printing services at HLS, directing print jobs to any of the dedicated laptop printers around the Law School.
Users must download and run an installer, which will install the public print client onto your laptop and configure the laptop to work with it.
There are two versions of the Mac client installer -- install the one which matches your system configuration:
1. Intel processor with Mac OS 10.5 or 10.4
2. PowerPC processor with Mac OS 10.4 or OS 10.3.9

Software for establishing secure connections to HLS network services.
Pre-installed on HLS-owned computers.
Students are welcome to a free version of Symantec Anti-Virus. Faculty and staff will have SAV already pre-installed on their HLS-owned computer.

Note: Adobe Acrobat Reader is also available to students. A link to download the program is located below.
Acrobat Reader is a free program designed only to view PDF files; Acrobat allows you to create and edit PDF files.

FileZilla is an FTP client, which allows one to connect to an FTP server. More specifically, authorized users can use it to connect to and modify the HLS website.

Note: QuickTime is also available to students. A link to download the program is located below.
QuickTime plays clips in most movie formats, and is the only player that will work with some exclusive Apple formats (*.mov).
HLS cannot legally distribute the QuickTime installer.

Note: RealPlayer is also available to students. A link to download the program is located below.
Use RealPlayer (basic player is free) to play RealAudio and RealVideo files as well as streaming audio and video.

Stuffit Expander (free) is used for expanding virtually all Mac and PC compression types.
