Vista/Windows 7/Windows 8 and Office 2010 Information

Windows 7 is currently the standard desktop operating system for faculty and staff computers at HLS.  We currently support Windows XP, Windows Vista, and Windows 7 for all faculty, staff, and students.

Microsoft Windows Vista (all versions), Microsoft Windows 7 (all versions), Microsoft Windows 8 (all versions)

Students, whose computers are personally owned and therefore subject to personal preference, may purchase and install Microsoft Vista, Microsoft Windows 7, or Microsoft Windows 8

Many of the below products have not been fully tested in Windows 8.  These products do work in Windows 7 and Vista.

• FAStAccess Network Registration
• MyHLS/iCommons
• Google Apps
• Virtual Private Networking (VPN)
• LPT:One Printing

Microsoft Office 2010 (all versions)

Office 2010 is not currently the standard office deployment for students.  The current standard is 2007.  The student helpdesk can provide support for both 2007 and 2010.
