Preparation for Slurry Wall

Slurry Wall Construction

Preparation for Slurry Wall, November 2007

Steps of Slurry Wall Construction

  1. Excavate soils in trench
  2. Keep excavation stable with slurry
  3. Place reinforcing steel cage
  4. Place concrete, which displaces slurry

What’s new?
Rebar cages are being assembled and installed and concrete is being placed as part of slurry wall construction on the site. The slurry wall will allow excavation of the site to proceed while keeping the sides of the excavation from shifting.
