A detail of the Wasserstein Hall, Caspersen Student, Clinical Wing proposed site plan.

 Why Now?

The Wasserstein Hall, Caspersen Student Center, Clinical Wing project is the culmination of many years of discussion and planning, both by Law School and University leaders.

In recent years, it has become increasingly clear that some of the School’s core facilities would soon need to expand to support the greatly enlarged curriculum, expanding research and clinical programs and steady increase in the number of faculty.  Many possible solutions were explored, including a plan to relocate the Law School to the University’s property in Allston.

When it was decided that the School would not be relocated, it became clear that a major reinvestment in our current campus would provide significant benefits. School leaders began working with planners and architects to devise a plan that would keep the School on its current “footprint,” but provide more and better spaces for the school's near-term and long-term needs.

The result is the Wasserstein Hall, Caspersen Student Center, Clinical Wing project.
