July 4th, through July 11th, 2008
No work will be performed on Friday, July 4th in observance of the holiday.
Saturday 7/5/08
• No work will be performed this Saturday 7/5/08.
Site Activities
• Miscellaneous chipping will take place over the next few weeks with a small excavator.
• Backfilling activities will continue in the tunnel area.
• Backfilling and demolition activities on the support of excavation will take place on the south wall this week.
• Material will continue to be hauled offsite this week.
• Resizing of the guide wall debris will continue.
• Forming and pouring activities will take place for the cap beam this week along the south and the southeast end of the site.
• The stone will be removed from the mock-up this week. Disposal pick-ups will take place through the Lewis Lot.
• Work on the new water line between Harkness and Pound Hall will continue. A water shutdown is scheduled for Friday 7/11/08 in Harkness. This work will take place off hours.
• Miscellaneous demolition and exploratory work will take place in Harkness this week. No building systems will be affected unless it has been approved and coordinated.
• Coring activities will take place from the second floor of Harkness. This work will be completed between the hours of 4am-7am Monday through Wednesday.
• Steel erection and the installation of metal decking will continue this week. Welding equipment will be utilized to complete this work.
• Standpipe upgrades will continue in Pound Hall this week. This work will take place during the 3rd shift to avoid disrupting the building occupants.
