JOHN J. FARMER
John J. Farmer served as Attorney General of New Jersey from June 99 to Jan 15, 2002. He was Chief Counsel to Gov. Christine Whitman from 1977 to June 1999, Deputy Chief Counsel from 1995 to 1997, and Assistant Counsel from 1994 to 1995. Between 1990 and 1994 he was an Assistant U.S. Attorney, following two years in private practice.
Mr. Farmer graduated from Georgetown University in 1979 and from Georgetown Law School in 1986. He was a judicial law clerk for Justice Handler of the New Jersey Supreme Court from 1986 to 1988.
