THOMAS FRONGILLO

Thomas Frongillo is a partner in the firm of Testa, Hurwitz & Thibeault, LLP, and a member of the Litigation Practice Group. Mr. Frongillo practices in the areas of complex civil litigation, white-collar criminal defense and governmental investigations work. He represents clients in disputes relating to contracts in the high technology field, intellectual property matters and general corporate/commercial matters. Mr. Frongillo also counsels clients in establishing compliance programs, and represents individuals and companies in criminal fraud investigations.

Prior to joining Testa, Hurwitz, & Thibeault, LLP, Mr. Frongillo was an Assistant United States Attorney in the Untied States Attorney's Office for the District of Massachusetts in Boston for approximately ten years. While at the U.S. Attorney's Office, Mr. Frongillo was assigned to the New England Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Force. During his tenure at the U.S. Attorney's Office, Mr. Frongillo was responsible for the coordination of multi-agency investigations and the prosecution of complex narcotics organizations engaged in drug distribution, violence, money laundering, firearms offenses and tax offenses. He has handled numerous multi-defendant trials and prosecutions. He recently was lead counsel in the Boston indictment of 24 individuals in a case known as "Operation Southwest Express," the largest international drug and money laundering prosecution by the FBI involving the indictment of over 100 individuals nationwide.

Mr. Frongillo has substantial trial, appellate, and trial advocacy teaching experience. For several years, Mr. Frongillo was an instructor for the United States Department of Justice Trial Advocacy Institute. He has received numerous awards and commendations from various law enforcement agencies including the United States Department of Justice, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Drug Enforcement Administration, the Criminal Investigation Division of the internal Revenue Service, the United States Customs Service, the Boston Police Department, the Massachusetts State Police, the Suffolk County District Attorney's Office, the Plymouth County District Attorney's Office and the New York City Police Department. Mr. Frongillo is a graduate of the College of the Holy Cross (B.A. magna cum laude) and the University of Virginia School of Law, where he was a member of the National Moot Court Team and received an award for excellence in trial advocacy.
