STEVEN SKURKA
Steven Skurka is an experienced criminal defense lawyer practicing
with the law firm of Skurka & Pringle in Toronto, Ontario. His practice
has included the defense of white collar crimes and discipline matters,
child abuse and sexual assault cases, homicide cases, and the defense
of lawyers, police officers and politicians. He served as counsel
at the Kaufman Inquiry, the inquiry called by the government of
Ontario to examine the wrongful conviction of Guy Paul Morin. He
is a certified specialist in criminal litigation, a former vice-president
and director of the Criminal Lawyers' Association and a part-time
lecturer at Osgoode Hall Law School in criminal procedure. He has
appeared on numerous educational panels for judges, prosecutors,
and defense counsel. He is a co-author of a book on jury selection
and has authored a number of articles published in leading law journals.
