Philip B. Heymann

Philip Heymann has been the James Barr Ames Professor of Law at Harvard Law School since 1989. He teaches courses entitled Conducting Investigations and Leadership in the Public Sector. He was Associate Dean from 1985-1987 and was appointed Director of the Center for Criminal Justice in 1981. His publications include Saving Our Children: Can Youth Violence Be Prevented? and Law Enforcement and Intelligence in the Last Years of the Twentieth Century. He received his J.D. from Harvard Law School in 1960 and a A.B. in Philosophy from Yale University in 1954.
