Government Lawyer - State Attorney General Clinic

The State Attorney General Clinic offers students an opportunity to work in prosecutorial offices at the state level. Clinical students' responsibilities will include writing and research work pertinent to the division in which they are placed at the Massachusetts Attorney General's office. Assignments relate to cases that the Attorney General's office is dealing with, and will often include research and drafting memos and briefs. Students are placed in various departments including:

Criminal Bureau

  • Appeals Division
  • Cybercrime Division
  • Corruption and Fraud Division
  • Enterprise and Major Crimes Division
  • Environmental Crimes Strike Force

Government Bureau

  • Trial Division

Public Protection Bureau

  • Civil Rights Division
  • Health Care Division
  • Consumer Protection
  • Environmental Protection Division (N.B.: This division requires some prior experience in environmental issues.)

Open to 2L, 3L students
Pre- or co-requisite: Role of the State Attorney General (offered in Spring 2013)
Early add/drop deadline: Aug 10 for Fall clinical; Jan  7 for Spring clinical
