Students are introduced to international criminal justice by working with placements including tribunals like the International Criminal Court, the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia, the Extraordinary Chambers in the Courts of Cambodia, the Office of Special Investigations in the US Department of Justice, the State Department's Office of War Crimes Issues, and NGOs focusing on war crime prosecution issues. Though work is long-distance, students gain firsthand training during a week-long trip to the Hague over spring break.
