Legal Referral Hotline

For those with legal issues beyond the scope of show-cause hearings, Harvard Defenders operates a legal referral hotline that assists over 1,000 callers per year on a range of civil and criminal legal issues. Harvard Defenders works with an extensive network of legal and social service agencies in the greater Boston area that provide services concerning family law, immigration, housing, government assistance, prison legal issues, among others.  For a sampling of commonly referred legal organizations, please visit our additional legal resources.

During the academic year, the referral service is open Monday through Thursday, from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. Our number is 617-495-4413.
