There is limited funding available for students participating in a winter term independent or continuing clinical, or for students in a clinical course that requires a winter term clinical placement. Expenses submitted for funding consideration should be reasonable costs that are necessary for the completion of your clinical project. Students interested in receiving funds for their clinical project must complete a funding application and submit it along with the Independent Clinical or Continuing Clinical application by the appropriate deadline. Students in a clinical course that requires a winter clinical placement only need to submit out the funding application. Please see below for more information on eligibility, budget guidelines, and application information:
International travel funding
Domestic travel funding
Some funding is also available for pro bono trips over fly-out week, intercession, and spring break. Students perform legal work and earn pro bono credit. In the past several years, students have traveled to New Orleans, Mississippi, Nashville, Miami, and Texas Rio Grande Valley working on hurricane relief, immigration and refugee issues, and migrant farm worker outreach. Students worked with legal services organizations on housing, FEMA, employment, fair labor, and criminal defense issues.
