Clinical Program Description

The goal of the Harvard Negotiation and Mediation Clinical Program is to provide students with hands-on opportunities to practice the basic skills introduced in the Negotiation Workshop, as well as some more advanced concepts such as conflict assessment, dispute management, and dispute systems design.

In order to do so, the clinical staff strives to secure projects from a variety of disciplines and contexts.  In the past, we have had corporations, government agencies, international development organizations, religious groups, and community activists as our clients.  What connects all of these projects is that all of them focus on some element of dispute management.  Some require students to conduct a detailed conflict analysis, others ask for a set of recommendations on how to.
