Located in Boston’s culturally diverse Jamaica Plain neighborhood, The Legal Services Center is housed in a renovated four-story building with all the amenities of a medium-sized law firm. With an inviting reception area containing bi-lingual informational pamphlets for clients, a community bulletin board and a play area for children, the Center welcomes all visitors.
The Center has a state of the art computer system – wireless and networked to HLS - and a sophisticated case management system used by all students and staff for day-to-day law practice. The Center’s library contains a wealth of relevant practice materials, and on-line research tools are available at every computer in the office. The Center has several private interview rooms where staff and students meet with clients in a confidential yet pleasant setting. Conference rooms of varying sizes are located on each floor for group meetings with clients, community partners, opposing counsel, or for staff and student supervisory meetings.
The Center is situated immediately adjacent to the Stony Brook MBTA station on the Orange Line, and so is easily and directly accessible by public transportation. Off-street parking is available for students, clients and visitors who drive. (Directions to the Center.) |
