Celeste Davis joined the staff at the Legal Services Center in June 2012 as a senior clinical fellow with the Center’s Health Law and Policy Clinic. Her work includes the Clinic’s State Healthcare Access Research Project (SHARP) and Providing Access to Health Solutions (PATHS) addressing type 2 diabetes and obesity issues.
During law school, Celeste completed an externship with the Massachusetts Department of Public Health and was a clinical student in the Massachusetts State House’s Joint Committee on Public Health. Before law school, she worked at the National Alliance of State and Territorial AIDS Directors (NASTAD) on HIV/AIDS prevention and care and treatment. Additionally, Celeste worked as the Director of Community Health at the Greater Detroit Area Health Council focusing on coalition building and women’s reproductive health services advocacy.
Celeste received her BS from Bennett College for Women in 2003, MPH in Health Management and Policy from the University of Michigan in 2006, and JD from Boston University in 2012.
