Paul Collier joined the Legal Services Center as the Director of Litigation in 1999: the third of his incarnations at the Center. He was - and is - also a Lecturer in Law at the Law School: periodically on the faculty of the Trial Advocacy Workshop, and teaching Advanced Civil Litigation during the 2002/03 and 2003/04 academic years. Paul began his legal practice at the Children’s Defense Fund, became a Clinical Associate at the Law School in 1977, and was a staff attorney at Greater Boston Legal Services from 1978 – 1983: when he entered private practice, and began his clinical supervision at the Harvard Legal Aid Bureau. His private practice continues: where Paul is a “part – time” trial lawyer - - handling civil litigation, mostly representing lower income clients, in areas as medical malpractice, discrimination, and other civil torts. Paul received his B.A. from Jacksonville University, and his J. D. from Boston College.
