Senior Grants Writer/Administrator

Michael Healy joined the Legal Services Center in the new position of senior grants writer/administrator in September 2011. He works with the managing director, clinical instructors, and fellows to secure financial support for the Center and its programs. He identifies potential institutional supporters and works with them to advance mutual interests in legal services. He drafts letters of interest, proposals, and reports that foster long-term relationships with foundations and corporations. Michael came to the Center continuing his career as a fundraising professional, most recently as director of corporate and foundation relations at the University of Vermont College of Medicine. He spent seven years in institutional advancement at Vermont Law School, raising funds from individuals, foundations, corporations, and governments sources for programs in legal aid, environmental law, energy law, and international law. He received his A.B. from the University of Scranton and an M.A. from the Pennsylvania State University.
