Karen joined the Center in Fall of 2006 as a Skadden Fellow in the Predatory Lending / Consumer Protection Clinic. Prior to joining the Center, Karen spent a year clerking for the Honorable Warren J. Ferguson of the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. As a law student, Karen worked in the Center's Community Enterprise Project (CEP), served as Training Director of the Tenant Advocacy Project, and was editor-in-chief of the Human Rights Journal. Prior to law school, Karen studied abroad as a Harvard-Yenching Fellow at Fudan University in Shanghai, China. Karen received her J.D. from Harvard Law School in 2005 and her B.A. in Government from Harvard College in 2001.
