Insurance Law

Insurance is an increasingly important mechanism for managing risk. This survey course provides students with a working knowledge of insurance law, with emphasis on the design, interpretation, and enforcement of insurance contracts. We will look at life, health and property insurance, and will give special attention to liability insurance, which plays such a prominent role in the work of both transactional lawyers and litigators.
