Forgiveness and the Law

This reading group will explore and evaluate debates over forgiveness as a moral and legal response to violence, with particular emphasis on responses to mass violence, including amnesties, truth and reconciliation commissions, and public apologies.

Admission is by application only. Please submit a CV and statement of interest to Mindy Eakin (eakin@law.harvard.edu) by Friday, December 14.

The class will meet every other Wednesday, beginning on Wednesday January 30, 2013.
