HLS is really a special place where you have opportunities that are found nowhere else! Here is the best place to master your specialty and also to learn new and interesting areas of law. The professors give us rich insights about the area you’re dipping your toes in and also opportunities to think about the controversial issues more deeply on your own. Not only are the students here smart and capable, but they also have their own views and goals to contribute to our society. So, my advice is, even if you are a little shy at first about communicating in English, you should hang out (and study!) with your classmates and learn from them as much as you can. The sheer diversity of the students is a learning opportunity in itself. This might be the last chance to know so many people from various countries, a very rich experience indeed. I appreciate this most precious opportunity and I hope you, too, can go through such a wonderful and memorable time!
