The Empirical Research Teaching Fellowship is a full-time, residential fellowship for two full years, starting in July 2009. This position has been recently filled. Applications for the 2011-1013 term will be accepted in the spring of 2011.

Other duties may include: Developing resource guides for students leading to data sets and other resources in empirical research and attending class sessions with the presentation of research.
Fellows will have access to the full range of resources offered by HLS and Harvard University. Each fellow will be provided with mentorship by one or more members of the faculty, a private office, library privileges, health benefits, a research budget, a budget for travel, and an annual stipend $60,000.
Applicants are required to have a Ph.D., M.A., or M.S. in Statistics; or Ph.D or M.A. or M.S. in Social/Behavioral Science with emphasis on quantitative/statistical methods. Knowledge of SPSS, Stata, SAS and R. Experience in application of quantitative methods to social science and/or legal data helpful. The fellow should be familiar with regression, logit, and probit models. Expertise in one or more of the following also helpful: experimental design, ANOVA, time series, factor analysis, structural equation models, and models commonly used in the social sciences.
