Exam4: What's Different in Macs?

Exam Set-Up

1. There is no “Check Network Connection” box.
2. 3 font size choices instead of 2.
3. No “violation number” box at the “Got it” screen.
4. At the Exam Mode screen, has a “Start Code / Control Code” button. Students don’t need to click this.If the student accidentally clicks this, they can just click “OK” to get back to the Exam Mode screen.
5. At the “Wait” screen, the word “wait” is in red letters (not green).

Exam Interface

1. Mac users can change the size of their Exam4 screen by clicking on the green “+” in the upper left corner of the interface.
2. Both Macs and Windows have a “delete” key. On Windows, this key deletes text forward of it, and is disabled in Exam4. With Macs, this key works fine.
3. There are different menu options: End Exam, Save, Edit, Format, Tools and Help.In PCs, End Exam and Save are in one menu option.
4. For spell-check, Mac users have to hit control and click the mouse at the same time. Then, spell-check options come up.
5. The Save-Meter is a gray bar slowly getting longer every 2 minutes. At the end of 2 minutes, the gray bar disappears and starts over again.
6. There are only 3 save options: Electronically submit, Save As, or Save to Flash Drive.
