New Office Supply Vendor
Harvard is pleased to announce that OfficeMax has been selected through a competitive RFP process as Harvard University’s preferred vendor for office supplies. Proposals were received from five companies, and a task force of representatives from across the University found the OfficeMax proposal to be the most cost effective.
By selecting OfficeMax as our preferred office supplies vendor, the task force expects to achieve increased savings and improved customer service for all of Harvard’s customers. Strategic Procurement has worked, and will continue to work, with OfficeMax to ensure that we receive the best and widest possible product selection, as well as aggressive pricing on our most popular products. You will be able to place orders through an OfficeMax website devoted exclusively to Harvard users. You will also be able to place orders over the telephone, by fax, or through the Harvard Crimson Online Marketplace (HCOM), an online purchasing tool now in its pilot phase.
The transition to Office Max for most of the University community is scheduled to begin on or about August 1, though some departments will be making the switch immediately.
