LEFA (Lifelong Email Forwarding Address)
ITS is pleased to offer all J.D. and LL.M. students with an additional email account. Called a LEFA ("leaf-a"), or lifelong email forwarding address, this email account will make it easier for you to stay connected to your classmates and everyone else in the HLS community.
You can immediately begin using your LEFA account to send and receive email (configuration instructions below), although your existing @law address will also work through July 31st of the year you graduate. Your LEFA will not expire, but instead will become a forward only account that can be used to send email to an alternate email address (e.g. Yahoo or Gmail).
The new email address naming scheme will be:
- USERNAME@jdXX.law.harvard.edu (with XX being the graduating year) or
- USERNAME@llmXX.law.harvard.edu (with XX being the graduating year)
However, when you access HLS network resources (including your e-mail), you will use the following username scheme for your HLS Account:
- USERNAME.jdXX (with XX being the graduating year) or
- USERNAME.llmXX (with XX being the graduating year)
