HLS Association

Welcome to the Harvard Law School Association

Founded in 1886, the mission of Harvard Law School Association is, as stated in its Constitution, "...to advance the cause of legal education, to promote the interests and increase the usefulness of the Harvard Law School, and to promote mutual acquaintance and good fellowship among all members of the Association."

Now serving some 37,000 members worldwide, the Harvard Law School Association (HLSA) supports and sponsors programs and events that meet the special interests of the School's alumni and increasingly diverse student body. HLSA activities are open to all members. I hope you will become involved through our 75 local associations and numerous HLSA committees.

Additionally, I invite you to participate in special events, such as our meetings in the fall and spring, and quinquennial Class Reunions.

Further, I encourage you to take a leadership role as a volunteer. Serving the School and the Association provides many enriching experiences, but perhaps foremost is meeting interesting, dynamic and loyal alumni from around the globe. Become active—participate! The rewards endure lifelong.

I hope to have the opportunity to welcome you to HLSA events in Cambridge and elsewhere. It is a privilege and honor to serve as your President.
