Oliver Wendell Holmes Society

The Society was created in 1994 to recognize those alumni and friends who have included the Law School in their estate plans and/or those who have established a planned gift to benefit the school. It carries the name of the one of Harvard's most distinguished graduates. Justice Holmes taught at the Law School before serving on the Supreme Judicial Court of Massachusetts and the United States Supreme Court.

More than 700 individuals have become members of the Holmes Society by making life income gifts and including HLS in their estate plans. The foresight of these generous alumni and friends allows the School to focus on the challenges ahead, secure in the knowledge of available resources in the future. If you have made a gift to the school that you think qualifies you for membership in the Holmes Society, we encourage you to contact the Office of Planned Giving.
