Welcome to the Harvard Law School Association’s homepage. Founded in 1886, the mission of Harvard Law School Association (HLSA) is, as stated in its Constitution, "...to advance the cause of legal education, to promote the interests and increase the usefulness of the Harvard Law School, and to promote mutual acquaintance and good fellowship among all members of the Association."
The oldest association of its kind, the HLSA now serves some 37,000 members worldwide by supporting and sponsoring programming and events and providing a vital link between Harvard Law School and its increasingly diverse alumni body.
We want to keep you updated on our activities and the happenings at Harvard Law School. Many of these are listed on this website. During the school year, the School’s email newsletter, HLS Brief, also provides a preview of upcoming events as well as interesting stories from Cambridge and profiles on various alumni accomplishments around the world. One of our initiatives for the coming year is to make more content from Cambridge accessible to you through the Internet and we look forward to your feedback as we roll that initiative out. If you are not receiving HLS Brief or other alumni related communications, I would encourage you to provide us with your current contact information. You can update your details online through HLS Connect, by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or by calling the Alumni Records office at (617) 495-3114. And remember to visit the HLSA Fan Page on Facebook.
Our activities are open to all members. We have 56 local associations and numerous HLSA committees that plan events for local members or alumni special interest and practice groups. Additionally, we organize national events in Cambridge such as our fall and spring meetings and quinquennial Class Reunions. I encourage you to take a leadership role or get involved as a volunteer in the HLSA. Serving the School and the Association provides many enriching experiences, but perhaps the most rewarding is meeting interesting, dynamic and loyal alumni from around the globe. If you are interested in getting involved, please email us at email@example.com.
I am delighted to serve as your President and I hope to have the opportunity to welcome you personally to HLSA events in Cambridge and elsewhere.
Paul L. Perito
