Role models for public service
On July 28, Ralph Gants '80 was sworn in as Chief Justice of the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court by Governor Deval Patrick '82. Justice Gants, who has been an associate justice on the court since 2009, succeeds Chief Justice Roderick L. Ireland '74 LL.M. '75, who has retired after serving in the judiciary for 37 years. The Harvard Immigration & Refugee Clinical Program celebrates its 30th anniversary
The program, founded and directed by Clinical Professor Deborah Anker LL.M. '84, celebrated this milestone with "30 Years of Social Change Lawyering," a daylong conference held at HLS on June 17. Judge John Thomas Noonan Jr. '54, of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit, gave the keynote address. Read more.

Crespo, an expert in criminal law and criminal justice, will join the faculty of Harvard Law School in 2015 as an Assistant Professor of Law. Read more.
A tribute to Dane Professor of Law Lloyd Weinreb '62
