April 23 - 25, 2010
Classes of 1960, 1970, 1975, 1985 & 2000
More than 550 alumni and guests enjoyed the gorgeous spring weather (yes, in Cambridge!) while hearing from HLS professors about their cutting edge research, learning more about the exciting new initiatives on campus, reconnecting with old friends, and participating in cultural tours (view the program).
Many reunion participants had their first opportunity to hear from Dean Martha Minow who highlighted some key initiatives including the new public service fellowships. She underscored the important role that alumni play in the life of the School and encouraged their feedback and suggestions (watch video).
Professor Guhan Subramanian ’98 led an entertaining and stimulating talk on the financial crisis (watch video). We pondered the future of libraries with Professor John Palfrey ’01 (watch video) and learned more about the international face of Harvard Law School as Professor William Alford ’77 discussed the School’s growing global impact with students and alumni (watch video).
Current HLS students provided their perspective on the impact of financial aid (watch video) while Alexa Shabecoff, Assistant Dean for Public Service, Bernard Koteen Office of Public Interest Advising, provided insight into the public interest world at the Law School (watch video). Alumni were also able to meet as a class to discuss topical issues during their class symposium.
The weekend was topped off with cocktails and dinners Saturday night and a Sunday brunch at The Charles Hotel.
It was wonderful to have so many alumni return to campus. If you were unable to join us, we hope to see you in Cambridge soon. It is not the same without you!
