Peer Advisors 2011-12

Robin Achen received a B.A. in English and neuroscience from the University of Southern California in 2009. She spent the summer between undergrad and law school in Thailand as a volunteer English teacher. At HLS, she has been involved with APALSA and was one of the 2011 Conference Co-Chairs. She spent the summer after her 1L year in the Civil Division of the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Downtown Los Angeles and her 2L summer as a summer associate at Sheppard, Mullin, Richter & Hampton LLP’s Downtown Los Angeles office.

 
Brittany Brewer is from Bethesda, Maryland. She graduated from Columbia University in 2009 with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Hispanic Studies. At Harvard, Brittany has been a Teacher’s Assistant for Professor Ogletree’s “Race and Justice: The Wire” class, and as a 3L, she serves as the Executive Student Articles Editor of the Harvard Law and Policy Review, a Teacher’s Assistant for Professor Ogletree’s “Revitalizing America’s Urban Cities” class, and a chair of the Firms Committee of the Women’s Law Association. During her 1L summer, she was a summer associate at Hogan Lovells in Washington, D.C. This past summer, Brittany was a summer associate at Paul, Hastings in Washington, D.C. 

Chequan Lewis is a third-year student from Fort Worth, TX and a graduate of Howard University. Prior to attending Harvard Law School, he worked at McMaster-Carr Supply Company in Atlanta, GA and Chicago, IL where he held a number of management roles including Diversity Recruiting Manager and National Employment Manager. In these positions, Chequan developed a substantive understanding of how to prepare and evaluate job application materials, how to prepare for and conduct interviews, and how to effectively participate in the hiring process as a candidate and as an employer. At Harvard Law School, Chequan has served as the Harvard Black Law Student Association's co-chair of Professional Development and currently serves as the organization's External Vice President. Chequan is also a member of the Harvard Law Texas Club and will be working in Dallas after finishing law school.
