Peer Advisors 2013-14

John Avila is a third year law student originally from North Attleboro, Massachusetts. After graduating from the University of Notre Dame, John spent a year doing service in Indianapolis, Indiana, and then worked at a small law office in Providence, Rhode Island. He has been an article editor for the Harvard Journal of Sports and Entertainment Law and is a board member of the Catholic Law Students Association. During his 1L summer, John interned at the Massachusetts Office of the Attorney General. This past summer, he was employed as a summer associate at the Washington, DC office of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher. After graduation, John will serve as a law clerk for Judge Berle Schiller in the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. In his free time, John enjoys playing the tuba and watching and attending Notre Dame sporting events.

Kelly Diep is a 3L at Harvard Law School. She received her B.A. in 2010 from Harvard College where she majored in History and Science and minored in Economics. After college, she spent a year in Beijing on a public service fellowship working with migrant children and their communities. Following her 1L year, she worked at UNICEF China in the Social Policy and Child Protection departments. As a 2L, she was a summer associate at Weil, Gotshal & Manges. At HLS, Kelly is involved in various student organizations including the Harvard Law and Entrepreneurship Project, the Women’s Law Association, and the Harvard Asia Law Society. She is also a Winthrop House pre-law tutor.

Billy Kronenberger is rejoining the Office of Career Services where he served as a college intern from 2010-2011. He received his undergraduate degree in Government from Harvard College, and spent his first year of law school at the University of Texas before transferring to HLS. Billy was a summer associate at Fulbright & Jaworski and Andrews Kurth in Houston in 2012, and he spent this past summer at Bingham McCutchen in Boston. He has also served as a Senior Editor on the Harvard Journal of Law and Public Policy and as an assistant coach for the Harvard Club Ice Hockey team. Billy is an Eagle Scout, avid scuba diver, college football fan, and self-professed Star Wars enthusiast.
