One avenue to consider in conducting a job search is to take advantage of the career services resources of law schools in the geographic regions in which you are interested in working. The career services offices at many law schools, including Harvard, allow students and alumni from other schools to have some limited, in-person access to career resources. Information on how to take advantage of these policies is as follows:
The first step in seeking reciprocity from another law school is to email OCS at ocs@law.harvard.edu. Please indicate the school from which you are seeking reciprocity, your year of graduation, phone number, preferred email address and, if available, the contact information for the reciprocity coordinator at the other school. This contact information may be available at: http://www.nalp.org/reciprocitypolicies. OCS will then submit the reciprocity request on your behalf to the other law school. OCS will request that the other law school notify you directly as to whether reciprocity is granted.
Please note that different law schools have different policies on reciprocity. Schools may limit reciprocity in circumstances such as these:
In addition, the resources available to you at the other law school may be limited to certain print resources viewed at the school’s career services office.
