Posting a Job

In an effort to better serve our students, Harvard Law School hosts two separate databases that distinguish between private sector/judicial clerkship and public sector/government job opportunities.

Private Sector Employers/Judicial Clerkships

The HLS Job Bank is a simple, quick and effective way to recruit HLS students and alumni. After a one time registration, employers may post job openings online free of charge.

Harvard is committed to reducing its greenhouse gas emissions and has a set of University-wide Sustainability Principles. Please assist us in our efforts to become a paperless office by posting your jobs online.

We do not accept postings from third parties including search firms.

First time users of the Job Bank: From the log-in page, click the “register” tab, where you will be prompted to complete a brief registration form. Log-in information will be emailed to you within one business day.

If you have any questions or need assistance, please contact Lisa Connolly at lconnolly@law.harvard.edu or by phone at 617-496-0583.

Public Sector Employers

Public sector employers may post their opportunities through the Office of Public Interest Advising (OPIA), who maintain a separate job posting site https://ldap.law.harvard.edu/jobdb/. Visit OPIA on the web at http://www.law.harvard.edu/current/careers/opia/index.html. If you have questions or would like further information, you can contact their office at 617-495-3108 or at pia@law.harvard.edu.
