Spring Interview Program (SIP) Overview

Dates, Fees and Policies

The Spring Interview Program (SIP) is an opportunity for public and private sector employers to connect with first, second and third-year Harvard Law students. Interviews will take place Monday, February 4 to Friday, February 22, between 12 and 7 pm on the Harvard Law School campus.  They are assigned to students through an online lottery system designed to maximize opportunities for both employers and students. The school has a strict no-prescreening policy, which means employers are not allowed to ask for resumes or transcripts in order to select the students they want to interview.

Employers can register for an interview schedule or resume collection, but not both. An interview schedule consists of either 20 interviews lasting 20 minutes each or 13 interviews lasting 30 minutes each. The registration fee for the first interview schedule is $200, with no fee for additional schedules. The registration fee for a resume collection is $100. There is no registration fee for government or non-profit employers.

Please note that you should contact students directly regarding second-round interviews. There is no designated fly-out week for SIP. Students attend call-back interviews on their time or during spring break, and are usually provided with approximately two weeks to accept or decline an offer.
