The Dolores Zohrab Liebmann Fellowship

The Dolores Zohrab Liebmann Fellowship will be awarded to graduate degree candidates who have outstanding undergraduate records, have demonstrated a need for financial assistance, and are citizens of the United States. The amount of each Fellowship will cover the cost of tuition and a stipend to be allocated towards room, board, living expenses and income taxes. The stipend for the 2010-2011 academic year will be $18,000. The fellowships are awarded annually and recipients can apply for renewal. Fellowships are limited to a maximum of three years.

Completed applications must be submitted to the HLS Student Financial Services Office (Pound 324) by January 6, 2010.

The Diversity in Patent Law Fellowship

Each year, McAndrews, Held & Malloy, Ltd. offers a $5000 fellowship and a paid summer clerkship to a qualified first-year law school student who has diverse background, possesses a degree in science or engineering, and is committed to pursuing a career in patent law in Chicago. Applications are available here. Applications for the 2010 fellowship will be accepted from December 1, 2009 through January 15, 2010.

The Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Chicago Academic Scholarship Program

Educational scholarship funds from the Jewish Federation are available for Jewish law school students with legal domicility in the greater Chicago area, Cook County or Northwest Indiana. Refugees or asylees are encouraged to apply, as citizenship is not a prerequisite. To apply, go here and click on Scholarship Services.
