Student Financial Services maintains contact with organizations offering a wide variety of outside resources. We regularly post information about these outside resources on this web page.

Current students can also login to the HLS Office of Career Services job database and search under "Diversity" to find more law firm scholarship opportunities for students from groups that are traditionally underrepresented at law firms. 

The Fall River Bar Association

The Thomas M. McGovern scholarships are awarded to law school students who have graduated from a high school in the Greater Fall River or Bristol County area. Applications are available here. Application deadline is April 15, 2012.

The Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute

The Institute offers a scholarship of $5,000 to a US citizen of Latino descent with financial need who demonstrates a commitment to community service. Applications are available here. Application deadline is April 16, 2012.

The Hudson County Bar Foundation

The Hudson County Bar Foundation will award a scholarship to a Hudson County resident admitted to or enrolled in law school. Applications are available here. Application deadline is April 31, 2012.

The AAJ Women for Justice Education Fund

The Mike Eidson Scholarship of $5,000 will be awarded to a rising 3L female student with a commitment to a career as a plaintiffs' lawyer or criminal defense lawyer. Applications are available here. Application deadline is May 31, 2012.

The American College of Employee Benefits Counsel

The Eighth Annual Employee Benefits Writing Competition offers two awards of $1500 and is open to law school student submissions on any topic in the field of employee benefits law. Applications are available here. Application deadline is June 1, 2012.

The Glenn D. Peters Law School Scholarship Fund

These funds will be awarded to a law student who is a resident of a county within the Northern District of Indiana. Applications are available here. Application deadline is June 1, 2012.

The Erie Community Foundation

The Eda Camphausen Law Scholarship is available to an incoming law school student from Erie County, Pennsylvania. Applications are available here. Application deadline is June 4, 2012.
