Student Financial Services maintains contact with organizations offering a wide variety of outside resources. We regularly post information about these outside resources on this web page.
Current students can also login to the HLS Office of Career Services job database and search under "Diversity" to find more law firm scholarship opportunities for students from groups that are traditionally underrepresented at law firms.
National Asian Pacific American Bar Association
NAPABA offers scholarships ranging from $2,000 to $7,500 to law student who demonstrate a commitment to serve or contribute to the Asian Pacific American community The application is available here. Application deadline is September 2, 2013.
The George V. Powell Diversity Scholarship
The Powell Diversity Scholar will be a 2014 summer associate in the firm's Seattle or Portland office and receive a $7,500 scholarship toward tuition and expenses during the student's third year of law school. Application information is here. Application deadline is September 2, 2013.
The Pittsburgh Foundation
The David Glick Memorial Scholarship is awarded to residents of Allegheny County, PA. Applications are available here and must be submitted to HLS Student Financial Services Office. Application deadline is October 1, 2013.
The Paul and Daisy Soros Fellowship
The Fellowship provides $20,000 in tuition/fees and $25,000 in a living expense stipend for up to two years of graduate study. Applications are available here. Application deadline is November 8, 2013.
The Justinian Law Society of Massachusetts
This $2,500 scholarship is available to all second and third-year law students with a keen interest in Italian culture and history. The application is available here. Application deadline is November 25, 2013.
The Dolores Zohrab Liebmann Fund
The Fund awards graduate students full tuition and an annual living expense stipend of $18,000. More information is available here. The application will be available in late November with a filing deadline of January 6. 2014.
Cincinnati Bar Foundation
The William A. McClain Scholarship of $2000 is for a Black law student with a demonstrated dedication to the Cincinnati communtity. The application is available here. Application deadline is February 20, 2014.
ABA Legal Opportunity Scholarship Fund
The ABA grants 20 incoming diverse law students with $15,000 of financial assistance over the course of their three years in law school. Applications are available here. Application deadline is March 1, 2014..
Fredrikson & Byron Minority Scholarship Program
The Foundation offers one award of $10,000. Applications are available here. Application deadline is March 31, 2014.
Iranian American Bar Association
The IABA is soliciting applications from Iranian law students who have demonstrated a commitment to the advancement of the Iranian-American community. Applications are available here. Application deadline is March 31, 2014.
New England Employee Benefits Counsel
The NEEBC scholarship program provides for annual awards of up to $5,000 for students with an interest in a career in the employee benefits field. Applications are available here. Application deadline is April 1, 2014.
Berks County Community Foundation
The Howard Fox Memorial Law Scholarship of $3,000 is given to help fund a rising second year law student who is a resident of Berks County, PA. Applications are available here. Application deadline is April 1, 2014.
American Indian Graduate Center
Graduate Fellowships are made to American Indian and Alaska Native graduate students with financial need. Applications are available here. Application deadline is June 1, 2014.
Cabaniss, Johnston Scholarship
This $5,000 scholarship is awarded annually to one or more Alabama residents entering their second year of law school. Applications are available here. Application deadline is June 7, 2014.
The Harris Cotton Memorial Scholarship
The County Prosecutors Association will award $2,500 to a New Jersey resident with an interest in domestic violence or hate crimes prosecutions. Applications are available here. Deadline is June 15, 2014.
The Oscar Rittenhouse Memorial Scholarship
The County Prosecutors Association will award $2,500 to a New Jersey resident with an interest in pursuing a career as a prosecutor. Applications are available here. Application deadline is June 15, 2014.
The Andrew Ruotolo Memorial Scholarship
