Student Financial Services maintains contact with organizations offering a wide variety of outside resources. We regularly post information about these outside resources on this web page.

Current students can also login to the HLS Office of Career Services job database and search under "Diversity" to find more law firm scholarship opportunities for students from groups that are traditionally underrepresented at law firms. 

 Vietnamese-American Bar Association

The VABA of the Greater Washington D.C. Area will be awarding two $1,500 scholarships to law students with a commitment to community service. The application is available here. Application deadline is February 15, 2013. 

 Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Chicago

The Federation will award scholarships funds for Jewish law school students with financial need and ties to the metropolitan Chicago area.  Applications are available here. Application deadline is February 15, 2013.

 Massachusetts LGBTQ Bar Association

The seventh annual Alexander G. Gray, Jr. Scholarship Award in the amount of $2,500 will be awarded to one law student. Applications are available here. Application deadline is February 15, 2013.

Cincinnati Bar Foundation

The William A. McClain Scholarship of $2000 is for a Black law student with a demonstrated dedication to the Cincinnati communtity. The application is available here. Application deadline is February 20, 2013.

ABA Legal Opportunity Scholarship Fund

The ABA grants 20 incoming diverse law students with $15,000 of financial assistance over the course of their three years in law school. Applications are available here. Application deadline is March 1, 2013.

Salvi, Schostok & Pritchard Scholarship

The law firm will award a total of $5,000 to law school students who author essays on cerebral palsy or auto accidents. Applications are available here. Application deadline is March 15, 2013.

Rhode Island Bar Foundation

The Thomas Black Memorial Fund will offer two awards of $20,000 each for  RI residents who will be entering their first year of law school in 2013-2014. Applications are available here. Application deadline is March 18, 2013.

Hispanic Lawyers Scholarship Fund of Illinois

HLSF is accepting applications from 1L students for its annual scholarship and for summer fellowship opportunities. Applications are available here. Application deadline is March 29, 2013.

Hudson County Bar Associaton

The Hudson County Bar Association of NJ  is seeking applicants with proof of Hudson County residency. Applications are available here. Application deadline is March 31, 2013.

 Iranian American Bar Association

The IABA is soliciting applications from Iranian law students who have demonstrated a commitment to the advancement of the Iranian-American community. Applications are available here. Application deadline is March 31, 2013.

New England Employee Benefits Counsel

The NEEBC scholarship program provides for annual awards of up to $5,000 for students with an interest in a career in the employee benefits field. Applications are available here. Application deadline is April 1, 2013.

Berks County Community Foundation

The Howard Fox Memorial Law Scholarship of $3,000 is given to help fund a rising second year law student who is a resident of  Berks County, PA. Applications are available here. Application deadline is April 1, 2013.

Federal Circuit Bar Assoiciation

The Giles Sutherland Rich Memorial Scholarship of $10,000 will be awarded to a law student with demonstrated financial need and academic excellence. Applications are available here. Application deadline is April 15, 2013.

Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute 

CHCI will award $5,000 to Latino graduate school students who have a history of performing public service-oriented activities in their communities. Applications are available here. Application deadline is April 16, 2013.

American Association for Justice

The Mike Edison Scholarship for $5,000 will be given a female law student entering her third year of law school with a commitment to a career as a trial lawyer. Applications are available here. Application deadline is May 1, 2013.

Michigan Auto Law Diversity Scholarship

This $2,000 scholarship will be awarded to a member of an ethnic or racial minority enrolled in law school. Applications are available here. Application deadline is May 1, 2013.

Buckfire & Buckfire Diversity Scholarship

The firm will award a $2,000 scholarship to a minority student or one with a demonstrated commitment to issues of diversity within their academic career. Applications are available here. Application deadline is May 31, 2012.

American College of Employee Benefits Counsel

The ninth annual employee benefits writing competition will offer two prizes of $1500 each and a trip to the American College's black tie dinner in New Orleans. Applications are available here. Application deadline is  June 1, 2013.

Cabaniss, Johnston Scholarship

This $5,000 scholarship is awarded annually to one or more Alabama residents entering their second year of law school. Applications are available here. Application deadline is June 7, 2013.

The Harris Cotton Memorial Scholarship

The County Prosecutors Association will award $2,500 to a New Jersey resident with an interest in domestic violence or hate crimes prosecutions. Applications are available here. Deadline is June 15, 2013.

The Oscar Rittenhouse Memorial Scholarship

The County Prosecutors Association will award $2,500 to a New Jersey resident with an interest in pursuing a career as a prosecutor. Applications are available here. Application deadline is June 15, 2013.

The Andrew Ruotolo Memorial Scholarship

The County Prosecutors Association will award $2,500 to a New Jersey resident with an interest in child advocacy. Applications are available here. Application deadline is June 15, 2013.

Pittsburgh Foundation

The David Glick Memorial Scholarship is intended for a first, second, or third year HLS student with residency ties to Allegheny County, PA.
