Student Financial Services maintains contact with organizations offering a wide variety of outside resources. We regularly post information about these outside resources on this web page.

Current students can also login to the HLS Office of Career Services job database and search under "Diversity" to find more law firm scholarship opportunities for students from groups that are traditionally underrepresented at law firms. 

Women's Travel Scholarships

Awards of $4,000 each will be awarded to two women for whom travel is critical for their professional goals. Application information is available here. Application deadline is January 31, 2014.

The Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Chicago

Jewish Vocational Service (JVS) processes applications from Jewish applicants born and raised in the Chicago area with financial need. Applications are available here. Application deadline is February 15, 2014

Massachusetts LGBTQ Bar Association

The Alexander G. Gray, Jr. Scholarship of $2,500 will be awarded to a law student with a demonstrated commitment to and involvement in the LGBTQ community. Applications are available here. Application deadline is February 18, 2014.

Cincinnati Bar Foundation

The William A. McClain Scholarship of $2000 is for a Black law student with a demonstrated dedication to the Cincinnati communtity. The application is available here. Application deadline is February 19, 2014.

ABA Legal Opportunity Scholarship Fund

The ABA grants 20 incoming diverse law students with $15,000 of financial assistance over the course of their three years in law school. Applications are available here. Application deadline is March 1, 2014..

Fredrikson & Byron Minority Scholarship Program

The Foundation offers one award of $10,000. Applications are available here. Application deadline is March 31, 2014.

The DRI Diversity Scholarship Application

Two scholarships of $10,000 each will be awarded to diverse applicants entering their second or third year of law school. Applications are available here. Application deadline is March 31, 2014.

 Iranian American Bar Association

The IABA is soliciting applications from Iranian law students who have demonstrated a commitment to the advancement of the Iranian-American community. Applications are available here. Application deadline is March 31, 2014.

The Warner Norcross & Judd, LLP Minority Scholarship

The firm offers two awards of $5,000 each to former and current Michigan residents. Applications are available here. Application deadline is April 1, 2014.

New England Employee Benefits Counsel

The NEEBC scholarship program provides for annual awards of up to $5,000 for students with an interest in a career in the employee benefits field. Applications are available here. Application deadline is April 1, 2014.

Berks County Community Foundation

The Howard Fox Memorial Law Scholarship of $3,000 is given to help fund a rising second year law student who is a resident of  Berks County, PA. Applications are available here. Application deadline is April 1, 2014.

The George Nofer Scholarship for Law and Public Policy

The Alexander Graham Bell Association for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing offers three scholarships of $5,000 each. Applications are available here. Application deadline is April 10, 2014.

The Hudson County Bar Foundation Scholarship

The HCBF scholarship is open to students with proof of Hudson County residency. Applications are available here. Application deadline is April 30, 2014.

The Michigan Auto Law Diversity Scholarship

One award of $2,000 will be offered to an admitted, first, or second year law school student who demonstrates a commitment to issues of diversity. Applications are available here. Application deadline is May 1, 2014.

Buckfire & Buckfire Diversity Scholarship

The recipient of this $2,000 award will be dedicated to issues of diversity. The application is available here. Application deadline is May 31, 2014.

American Indian Graduate Center

Graduate Fellowships are made to American Indian and Alaska Native graduate students with financial need. Applications are available here. Application deadline is June 1, 2014.

Cabaniss, Johnston Scholarship

This $5,000 scholarship is awarded annually to one or more Alabama residents entering their second year of law school. Applications are available here. Application deadline is June 7, 2014.

The Harris Cotton Memorial Scholarship

The County Prosecutors Association will award $2,500 to a New Jersey resident with an interest in domestic violence or hate crimes prosecutions. Applications are available here. Deadline is June 15, 2014.

The Oscar Rittenhouse Memorial Scholarship

The County Prosecutors Association will award $2,500 to a New Jersey resident with an interest in pursuing a career as a prosecutor. Applications are available here. Application deadline is June 15, 2014.

The Andrew Ruotolo Memorial Scholarship

The County Prosecutors Association will award $2,500 to a New Jersey resident with an interest in child advocacy. Applications are available here. Application deadline is June 15, 2014.

Console & Hollawell Legal Leaders Scholarship

The law firm offers a $1,000 scholarship to law students. Applications are available here. Application deadline is July 15, 2014.

The Brett Murphy Law Firm

The Future Leaders Scholarship of $2000 is available to JD students who have an interest in personal injury law. Applications are available here. Application deadline is July 15, 2014.

Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly Scholarship Program
