Commencement Academic Attire

INFORAMTION REGARDING ATTIRE FOR GRADUATES AT ALL EVENTS
In order to walk in the events that take place on Commencement Day, all graduates must be in academic regalia.
Students need not wear regalia to the activities that take place on Class Day. Students are welcome to dress comfortably for the events on Class Day, as they are scheduled to take place outside. However, in past years both graduating students and guests have opted for business casual attire, keeping in mind that the majority of the activities take place on the fields.

Graduates are advised to check in on the weather that is anticipated for both June 3rd & 4th, as this may influence their choice of attire.

Regalia Order Information:
To receive your regalia in time for Commencement, place your order at the Harvard Square Coop’s third floor Textbook Department starting March 30th. The order deadline is April 15th. The Coop's hours are Monday – Saturday, 9 a.m. – 9 p.m. Sunday, 10 a.m. – 7 p.m.

While it is highly recommended that students order regalia at the Coop, if you cannot visit the store to place your order, you may reserve your regalia by mail or fax by filling out this order form. If you do not reserve your regalia before April 15th, extra gowns and hoods are available on a first-come-first-serve basis from June 1st-4th. There is an additional $25 late fee for these rentals.

Regalia Distribution:
For your convenience the Harvard Square Coop will distribute regalia on the HLS campus Monday, June 1st – Wednesday, June 3rd from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. and Thursday, June 4th from 6:45 a.m. – 5 p.m. in Pound 200 and 201.

Please be sure to bring your Harvard ID with you when picking up regalia.

Regalia Return:
The Harvard Square Coop will be on the HLS campus to collect regalia on Thursday, June 4th from 6:45 a.m. – 5 p.m. and Friday, June 5th from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. They will be back on campus Monday, June 8th – Friday, June 12th from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Regalia Rental Fees:
Cap, Gown & Hood: JD & LLM $80 SJD $155
Crimson Cash, checks, cash, and credit cards will be accepted at the Harvard Square Coop.
