Transfer Orientation Overview

Welcome Class of 2013!

We look forward to your arrival on campus. Here is an overview of the Orientation schedule.

Orientation for Transfer, Exchange, and Visiting students will be held Friday, August 12th (preceding EIP) and Monday, August 29th. On Tuesday, September 6, Supreme Court Justice Elena Kagan will join Dean Minow for a Q&A.

Friday: (8:30am – 1pm)

• Continental breakfast
• Welcome & Orientation overview - Dean of Students Office
• Introductory visits from HLS departments:
  Student Financial Services, ITS, the Offices of Career Services and Public Interest Advising, Clinical and Pro Bono Programs, and the Registrar’s Office and Academic Affairs
• Lunch
• Dinner with current transfer students following the OCS EIP prep session (1-5pm)

Monday: (9am – 5pm)

• Continental breakfast
• Welcome and visit with Dean Martha Minow
• Introductory visits from HLS departments:
  Langdell Library, HUHS/HLS Clinic, return visit with the Registrar’s Offices
• Lunch & campus tour with current transfer students
• Dean Minow’s welcome speech (2:30pm, Sanders Theatre)
• Dean’s Reception (3:30pm)

Tuesday, Sept. 6

• Q&A featuring Justice Kagan and Dean Minow (5pm, Ames Courtroom)

You are welcome to participate in the social events over the weekend (Aug. 27th & 28th) as well.
