Jacob E. Gersen

Biography

Jacob E. Gersen is Professor of Law at Harvard Law School and Director of the Food Law Lab at Petrie-Flom, which supports academic research on the legal treatment of food in society. Before joining the Harvard faculty in 2011, he was Professor of Law at the University of Chicago.  He holds a Ph.D. in Political Science and a J.D. from the University of Chicago, and an A.B. in Public Policy from Brown University. His main areas of research and teaching are food law, administrative law, environmental law, torts, and constitutional theory.
