Biography

James Coleman's scholarship addresses North American environmental and energy regulation, with a special focus on jurisdictional issues that arise in interstate and international energy markets. He received his undergraduate degree in Biology from Harvard University, magna cum laude, with highest honors in field. After receiving his J.D. from Harvard Law School, cum laude, he clerked for the Honorable Steven M. Colloton of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit. James also practiced as an environmental and appellate associate at Sidley Austin LLP, where he focused on climate change litigation, regulation, and policy.
