Mr. Rogers will teach a section of First Year Legal Research and Writing in both the Fall Term 2009 and the Spring Term 2010.
Brishen Rogers received his B.A., with high distinction, from the University of Virginia in 1998. Before attending Harvard Law School (J.D., cum laude, 2006), he first worked as a community organizer promoting living wage policies and affordable housing, then spent several years organizing low-wage custodial workers in the New York suburbs as part of SEIU's "Justice for Janitors" campaign. Before becoming a Climenko Fellow, he was in-house counsel at Change to Win, a federation of six U.S. labor unions, where he worked with affiliated pension funds on corporate governance issues. Brishen's primary research interests are in employment law, labor law, and corporate law. His publications include "Towards Third-Party Liability for Wage Theft," 31 Berkeley J. Empl. & Lab. L. (forthcoming).
