Biographical Statement

Bob Rizzi is a tax partner with O'Melveny & Myers LLP, resident in the Washington and New York offices. He is currently Chair of the firm's tax department and was one of the founding partners of the firm's Silicon Valley office. His practice covers federal and state income tax aspects of corporate and partnership business transactions, and he has advised U.S. and non U.S. companies and individuals in Europe, Latin America, the Middle East, and the Pacific Rim. For the past 10 years, Bob Rizzi has advised senior appointees to Executive Branch positions in connection with "vetting" and other government ethics matters. He has advised over 40 appointees currently serving in the Obama administration and also served on the vice presidential search team for the McCain campaign. Bob attended Dartmouth College, graduated from Princeton University in 1972, received an M. Litt. in modern (military) history from Oxford University in 1975, and graduated from Harvard Law School in 1978, where he was on the Board of Student Advisors. Bob has served on the board of trustees of American Friends for New College (Oxon). Before joining the Washington office of O'Melveny, Mr. Rizzi practiced in Los Angeles and Orange County, California. From January 1981 to March 1982, Mr. Rizzi was an assistant general counsel in the Office of General Counsel at the Central Intelligence Agency.
