About Us

Our Goal: With appropriate faculty supervision, the Harvard Negotiation and Mediation Program (HNMCP) will train a new generation of lawyers with the skills they need to help clients manage disputes efficiently and creatively. Through work with real clients, students gain a broader understanding of the contexts in which lawyers must apply critical negotiation skills to manage conflict and to design more effective processes for helping clients resolve disputes. In addition, students will develop a deeper understanding of negotiation theory.

HNMCP is one of the sixteen clinical programs at Harvard Law School.  The clinic currently has a staff of three faculty supervisors and one clinic coordinator.
