International Legal Studies
Winter Term
Harvard Law School offers a special Winter Term in January for second-and third-year and LL.M. students. This three-week long session enables students to take an intensive course on the HLS campus, enroll in a class with a clinical component, or conduct supervised research in Cambridge or elsewhere. Recent Winter Term projects have enabled students to work in the Office of the United States Trade Representative in Washington, D.C., examine police brutality in Jamaica, and study the delivery of health care in Ghana. Other projects have taken HLS students to China, Guyana, Haiti, India, Kenya, and Switzerland, to name just a few.The Winter Term International Travel Grant Program provides funding to students for overseas travel during Winter Term.
