The heart of HLS is the people. They make the campus vibrant and dynamic. Through their academic and professional pursuits, members of the HLS community (whether on campus or working outside of Cambridge, MA) are engaged with, and have an impact on, a global community that is becoming increasingly interconnected. The difference they make can take a variety of forms. It might be through faculty members conducting cutting edge research on transnational financial regulation or developing innovative courses on terrorism in the 21st century. Or it might be students spending their summers working on peace-building in Colombia or Sudan. In some cases it is staff members utilizing their expertise to promote human rights. And in other instance it is alumni serving in government or leading environmental organizations.
